Rugby World Cup warm-ups: England 15 France 21

Eng_v_france England went down to France at Twickenham in a tight and hard-fought game.  While losing will not leave Yoda Ashton happy, he should be encouraged by the fact that England were competitive for much of the match, crafted some decent opportunities, and only a last minute try by Sabastien Chabal did them.

What he will be less happy about was the number of chances that were not converted, particularly a magnificent move late on, sparked by Nick Abendanon, that ended with Phil Vickery halted inches short of the line by a bone rattling tackle from France hooker Swarzewski.

France will receive a psychological boost from the win, bit I don't think England will be too depressed when they watch the video today.  Improvements are being made, and given that they have been largely shit for three years, that is a positive.
