Which excuse will the All Blacks use this time?
We all know the score, New Zealand look unstoppable in-between World Cups, and then for some reason come the actual tournament itself they cock it all up. Let's look at the full list of excuses/reasons for them losing since their solitary win in 1987, and then have your say in our poll.
1991 - outplayed by Australia in the semis
1995 - lost to South Africa in the final - apparently they were deliberately given food poisoning
1999 - lost in semis to an admittedly inspired French team, but the All Blacks' attitude was qustionable
2003 - out-hustled by Australia (again) in the semis (again)

So what? Its a single tournament. Sure everyone wants to win it but the All Blacks are and always have been the definition of Rugby in all its glory.
Anyone that truly loves rugby knows that.
Obviously you didnt see the footage of 3 all blacks being sick on the field in 95? Plenty of green eyed monsters around these days unhappy that their boring teams cant make up the majority of a world 15 like the all blacks do year after year.seeya

By the way out of all of those they were only ever clear favourites in 1995, so getting as far as they did in all the cups is alot better than most teams.
Why does everyone try and extract joy from watching a brilliant team fall short?
