bloodandmud.com - what are we all about?
Sometime in the summer of 2007 we were looking around the web for some decent rugby coverage and found there is a lot of it out there. What we also discovered was that the majority of sites all came from the same groups: serious broadsheet analysis; Rugby World-style sycophancy; tabloid nonsense (they really know nothing about rugby); or specialist club sites and the like.
In short, there were very few sites out there the truly harnessed the rugby fan culture by being knowledgable about the game but not taking the game, or itself, too seriously. Thus we set about remedying this inbalance with bloodandmud.com.
We think we are doing OK, but don't just take our word for it, here's what The Times had to say:
"The dearth of really good rugby blogs is a shame considering the wealth of humour and mythology that the game contains, but www.bloodandmud.com streaks ahead with a fast-paced mix of wit and video clips."
The blog was also named by The Daily Telegraph as one of the Top 20 Rugby Union Websites in September 2009
