Or that is what you would believe if you read the media since the team for the Ellis Park game was announced.  Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great player and an asset to the tour, but the media are going BONKERS about him.  This is probably due to the poor performance on Saturday and the need to fill column inches while the pre-Test phoney war continues, but it's getting a little out of hand.

Here's what friend of the blog Keith Wood had to say, "He has the midas touch.  He has not put a foot wrong. If he goes into a ruck or maul he’s won the penalty, he pops up to kick a drop goal or he's there to finish off a move."

And here's Michael Cheika, the Leinster coach, "Brian is a talismanic presence and I think he'll cause trouble down there."

And heres Ugo Monye, "The Lions have been talking about the X-factor and while we have a lot of guys here with just that, nobody has got more of it than Brian O’Driscoll."

And here's President Barack Obama, "If I was half the man Brian O'Driscoll is, I would have no problem sorting out the Palestine issue"

And here's Jesus Christ, "Being the Son of God, I've always rated myself, but compared to Brian I'm a loser"
