Classic Six Nations Video: Dominici scores against England, 1998

This is an absolutely superb try and a perfect demonstration of how to convert decent set-piece possession on the 22 into maximum points.  Dominici finally wriggles over after some good old hit-and-rucking leads to some sublime hands across the backline.

It is touchdowns like this, and the promise of further like it, that keep us watching the game.  Also, check out the french commentator, who sounds like he is frighteningly close to a coronary.

A very good start to his career with "Le Xv de France". Dominici would end up having a very nice career, indeed.

Great try.

Someone lock Danny Hipkiss in a darkened room with this, and refuse to let him out until he stops saying back line play is dead. Equally, it is nice to hear an impartial commentator once in a while....

not wanting to take anything away from the french and some classy running, but has anyone looked at the tackling, or should i say half-hearted wafting?

I was going to say, two attempts to tackle him, both missed. Pretty poor to be honest. Yes a good try, but all it was really was someone straightening the line a little to a drift defense. Rugby league does this week in week out. And before you say anything, I'm a union fan!(Who's played a little league in his time too).
