After five years, this is where it all ends...
Just over five years ago I started wittering on about rugby in this blog and for a long time it was a pleasure to rant on here and have you lot out there share in my thoughts on the game we love.
However, of late, a combination of too much stuff in not enough time and, to be honest, a dwindling motivation to write has meant that Blood & Mud has begun to wither on the vine. This is doing no justice to either myself, the blog, and most importantly those of you out there who have given your time and support over the years and expect to have something fresh to read on a regular basis.
Given this, I have decided to put the blog quietly to sleep where it will snuggle up in the dark with other once bright things, like Ollie Smith. I will, however, continue to Tweet about rugby and other random thoughts under @bloodandmud, so you will not escape me completely.
Genuine, heartfelt thanks go out to all who have bothered to read, comment and sign up to the RSS feed over the past half-decade. It's been a joy.
See you around,
Lee
